This is a hypothetical concert program that I created for my Choral Literature class. We were tasked with creating a thematic program for a full concert of five choirs as well as an elementary honor choir. My program was based on a hypothetical High School choral program's Spring Concert. We also got to design a concert program (shown below) from scratch that would become a template for a possible future concert.
I created this infographic for a Professional Writing and Rhetoric class. This was the culmination of my research on the rhetoric of the concert program. Through this infographic I wanted to provide an easy reference material for teachers to use when created concert programs of their own. Since this was going to be a reference that a teacher might hang in their office I focused heavily on the aesthetic design of the infographic, considering factors like spacing, color, and flow.
This is a lesson plan I made for a Non-Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir rehearsal at Midway High School during my time student teaching with them. It showcases what one of our normal lessons looks like and some of the ways I address TEKS and perform informal assessments in the classroom.
These are the slides to one of my elementary lessons during my time student teaching at Hewitt Elementary. This lesson would be used for 2nd or 3rd grade. This lesson is meant for a 55 minute class so there are a lot of different activities to make sure students remain engaged and participatory.
